What could be better than fresh, creamy milk straight out of the goat! Now you can bypass the supply chain and buy right from the farm. Phillips is a “food sovereign” town, which permits us to sell direct to the public without being licensed.
Our milk is NOT PASTEURIZED. Raw milk contains bacteria that may be harmful to humans, particularly the elderly, young children, and immunocompromised individuals. The sale of raw milk is controversial. Some experts say it’s dangerous, some say the health benefits outweigh the risks. Harmful bacteria, as well as beneficial bacteria and enzymes that aid in digestion, are killed in the pasteurization process. Please make your own informed decision.
When you purchase milk from us, you agree to: 1) pasteurize it yourself (instructions can be found here), 2) use it for animals or crafts/soap only, or 3) assume the risks inherent in consuming raw milk.
The price is $3.00 per quart plus a $2.00 jar deposit. The deposit will be refunded when you return the jars (with lids). Or, you can bring your own jars to use/exchange and no deposit will be needed. Please contact us to make an appointment for pickup.
